Music at Adams State...

is an active and vital program, committed to musical excellence within a small college environment. Each year, more than 700 of the 2200 on-campus students participate in music through classes, lessons and performing ensembles. The Colorado Commission on Higher Education designated the ASC Department of Music a "Program of Excellence," the third ASC program to receive this honor.

Department of Music Mission Statement: The three-fold mission of the ASC Department of Music is to educate music teachers and music professionals through programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and the Bachelor of Arts degree, a liberal arts degree, with emphases in performance or liberal arts; to educate the general student body through classes, lessons and ensembles; and to provide service to the campus and the community through performances and other educational opportunities for cultural enrichment.
